The skill of saying 'No' - Uncovered.

Do you feel like you're in an endless struggle of egos with your little one, that you're not getting the right response from them, that you keep losing your cool and lashing out or just giving in to their demands, and that your relationship with them is best described as one filled with conflicts and confrontations? If most of your interaction with your child is negative and disciplinary, your connection with them may suffer. Overusing the word 'No' might take you down this road. "No" is a powerful word that is easy to utter and quick on the lips. Your child will frequently hear you use this term, and you will listen to it from your child. A parent must learn to say "no" to a kid so the youngster can subsequently say "no" to himself. Delaying gratification is difficult for all children and some adults. "I want it now,", especially in toddlers, is a motivating need. Accepting "no" from others is a prerequisite...

On having frustrating thoughts or negativity.

So, you do face frustrating thoughts? Well, to tell you the truth, I too have them. I thought that by simply meditating or emptying my mind of these intermittent thoughts, will bring me relief. What am I supposed to do in a particular situation? What do people expect out of me and what are my expectations from them? Are those expectations - on either side - been fulfilled? Do I have any control over my expressions (feelings), responses, reactions and anger? Why do I always feel that I am answerable to someone around me? Does anybody really want to listen to me? Am I doing what I like to do? Why am I doing the things that I am doing? Why am I always being advised for the most silliest thing on earth? Am I in control of my life? Am I ' ME '? -  NO . Then WHO AM I? Ufffff!!! So many questions๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜  Relate to them? A few of them? Everyone faces one or the other of the above questions. There may be many more. A human mind is always stuffed with such questions. A mindful of questions!! And a fea...
